Amy has completed TalkTools® Training at level 4 and specialises in working with people with Dysphagia (eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) for both children and adults.
Amy is an advocate of technology and its use in therapy, finding great benefit from apps on a phone to provide reward and stimulation to integrating a highly specialised communication device into the life of a client and ensuring they derive the most benefit from it.
Amy supervises staff at Eg(Training)Ltd relishing the opportunity to mold and hone the skills and behaviours of a developing therapist.
Amy is an excellent communicator, well organised and dedicated to therapy. She is able to asses the needs of her clients and set out a clear path for them. Amy specialises in working with children and adults with complex needs.
Amy was born and brought up in Ashby and enjoys working in the local community. Amy had the benefit of working with Helen when completing her final year work based placement. Amy graduated from University of Central England (Now BCU) in 2007.
Amy loves technology and is keen to use its power to help others. Amy spends her time when she isn’t working socialising and supporting rugby. Her piano playing is improving.
Amy is part of the team at Eg(Training)Ltd and accesses the experience of the team for supervision and support to enable her to work within RCSLT. This ensures that our clients are supported by a team and can expect an excellent standard of service at all times.
