Amy Rush Profile

I have completed TalkTools® Training at level 4 and PROMPT Bridging training, allowing me to specialise in working with people with complex speech and eating and drinking needs. I am passionate about empowering individuals to meet their potential and become actively participating members of the community.

I am an advocate of technology and its use in therapy, finding great benefit from applications on a phone/tablet to provide reward and stimulation; to integrating a highly specialised communication device into the life of a client and ensuring they derive the most benefit from it. I am keen to ensure that all supporting members in the client’s life can be fully educated in what we are attempting to achieve as part of their intervention.

I enjoy supervising other Speech and Language Therapists and Assistants, relishing the opportunity to mould and hone the skills and behaviours of a developing therapist and challenge my own thinking after being in the field of Speech and Language Therapy for so long.

I work hard to be a clear and confident communicator, well organised and dedicated to my therapeutic intervention. I am passionate about supporting clients with complex communication needs to achieve their potential and enjoy thinking outside of the box to develop solutions.

I was born and brought up in Ashby and I enjoy still having links into this community whilst working at Eg Training Ltd Speech and Language Therapy. I have been a proud member of the EG Training team since 2007 and have worked closely with Helen to continue to develop EG Training.

I adore all things technology both at home and in work and I make sure I keep up to date with new innovations which could both support my life and others. I have been a huge fan of rugby since being a little girl and regularly attend Leicester Tiger matches with my Dad. I am an avid reader and can often be found in a quiet room with my kindle.

I am part of the team at Eg(Training)Ltd and access the broad experience within the team for professional support to enable me to work within RCSLT and HCPC guidelines. We work hard as a team to ensure we all work diligently to maintain the highest quality of input to meet our client’s diverse needs.
